Director Ning Hao's new movie

Young Chinese director Ning Hao is continuing his exploration of road movies with his new work On the Road, a new collaboration with actors Huang Bo and Xu Zheng, the so-called "Iron Triangle."

At a press event in Beijing Ning said the film will hit big screens on September 30 in order to capitalize on the Golden Week National Day Holiday movie season.

Differing from his last work No Man's Land, this work, also starring eight actresses including Zhang Li in addition to Huang and Xu, is a pure comedy. The story covers two men looking to forget being cheated on by their wives heading out on a road trip to hang out with beautiful women.

"I decided to make a change and bring something different to audiences by switching up typical roles," Ning explained at the event on Sunday.
