China's Internet users have selected 10 individuals and groups as grassroots heroes, or China's "Good Samaritans," for the second quarter 2014.
The winners' list was unveiled Monday following a three weeks of voting by tens of thousands of web users.
They include Liu Yunxia, a rural woman known for her dream of writing and producing TV series.
Cao Dongyun, also dubbed as "caring mother", has been for years looking after abandoned children with congenital diseases.
Also among the winners are Hu Yang and Huangfu Jiangwu, two fire fighters in their early twenties who have devoted their lives to saving others.
The vote, held since 2010, is conducted quarterly to promote ordinary people's good deeds and improve moral awareness in society.
