A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday said the CPC will strengthen communication with political parties of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to promote the development of bilateral ties.
"The CPC will share experience with ROK parties on party-building and national governance to promote the development of the bilateral strategic partnership of cooperation," said Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
Liu made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation of ROK parliament members led by Lee Seok-hyun, vice speaker of the ROK National Assembly.
Liu said the visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the ROK from July 3-4 was a milestone for China-ROK relations. China is ready to work with the ROK to enhance strategic mutual trust, consolidate common interests, promote cultural exchanges, and push forward prosperity and the region's peace and stability.
Lee echoed Liu saying President Xi's ROK visit promoted the development of bilateral ties to a new stage. ROK political parties will contribute to development of bilateral ties through party-to-party communication.
