A man in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province allegedly cut off four seniors' testicles so that he could use the reproductive organs as an ingredient in his homemade medicine, The Beijing News reported on Thursday.

The alleged attacks occurred at a nursing home in the town of Zhenxiang. The four victims are now stable and receiving treatment in the hospital.

A 46-year-old suspect surnamed Wang was arrested by the local police.

He allegedly worked in the nursing home where the four victims lived and was in charge of food delivery.

The manager of the facility found the victims at around 3 pm on Wednesday. Two men lost both testes, while the other two lost one each.

"I suddenly felt a pain down below and found myself being tied on the bed when I woke up on Tuesday afternoon," according to one of the victims, a 53-year-old man who claimed to have quarreled with the suspect due to earlier problems with food quality.

"Wang cut off my balls and then sutured [up the wound]. Afterwards, another two men were also subject to the same treatment," Wang said.

"He said he would use the balls to make medicine, and that I was powerless to resist," he added.

The four victims were brought to the home after they had lost the ability to live independently, according to local government officials.

The officials added that the suspect in the case had no one living with him and seemed to be mentally handicapped.
