China's central authority has issued a circular for implementing the Party's "mass-line" campaign with rules and regulations.
The circular called for continued rectification of four undesirable work styles such as formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance. It urged officials at all levels to address the issues concerning the immediate interests of the people.
The circular urged officials to strengthen grassroots Party and state organizations, and make rules and regulations to consolidate the results of the mass line campaign.
It also called for strengthened discipline.
The campaign was launched in June last year to make the government more accessible to the public while cleaning up officials' undesirable work styles.
