Four climbers, who had been trapped while climbing Dingdu mountain in Mentougou district, were rescued on August 1, the Beijing News reported.
On the afternoon of July 31, the four got lost on their way from Longquan county to Tanzhesi township. Included in the missing four was a person over 60 and a girl only 13 years old. When their family members phoned the police, the missing four had already called at 11 pm to say they were lost and that their phone was running out of battery.
After a seven-hour search, local firefighters found them on August 1.
A fireman who involved in the rescue warned climbers to avoid wild mountains as steep cliffs could pose a threat to them.
