A two-day China-Pakistan think tank seminar, with the theme of "Building 'China-Pakistan Community of Shared Destiny' in new era," concluded in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Zhou Gang, former Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, congratulated on the success of the seminar.
He said that scholars from China and Pakistan fully exchanged views on China-Pakistan community of shared destiny and reached broad consensus on some important topics, including bilateral relations, China-Pakistan economic corridor, regional counterterrorism situation and the Afghan issue.
Syed Tariq Fatemi, Pakistani special assistant to the prime minister on foreign affairs, hailed Pakistan-China all-weather friendship in his speech. "Pakistan values its friendship with China. Our friendship has remained constant and unchanged regardless of the transformed global circumstances," he said.
Such intellectual exchanges can further deepen the time-tested ties between the two countries, he added.
The seminar, co-organized by Chinese embassy in Pakistan and Pakistan's ministry of foreign affairs, attracted around 100 Chinese and Pakistani officials and scholars.
