Tao Liming, former president of the Postal Savings Bank of China, will be prosecuted for suspected corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Wednesday.
Tao is accused of taking bribes, embezzling public funds and misappropriation, the SPP said in a statement.
It has designated the Hebi municipal people's procuratorate in central China's Henan Province to conduct the prosecution, and the case has been filed at the Hebi municipal intermediate people's court.
The statement said other people associated with Tao's case will also be prosecuted, but did not give any details.
