A former vice mayor from north China's Shanxi Province was expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and dismissed from public office for severe violations of discipline, said the provincial authorities on Wednesday.
The investigation found that Jin Ruilin, former vice mayor of the Datong and Shuozhou cities, took the advantage of his post to seek profits for others and accepted bribes, according to Shanxi provincial Party discipline inspection agency.
Jin abused his power and caused great economic losses. He also violated the family planning policy.
His case has been transfered to the judicicary.
