Ukraine's Korostylov surpasses shooting Finals World Record at YOG

Pavlo Korostylov of Ukraine surpassed the men's 10m air pistol finals world record at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Nanjing Monday.

Korostylov scored 203.4 points to eclipse the previous finals world record of 202.8 set up by Xuan Vinh Hoang of Vietnam in the World Cup at Fort Benning of the United States on March 29, 2014.

However, Korostylov's record will not be ratified in accordance with the decision made by the International Olympic Committee that any records at the YOG will not be recognized, explained an official of the International Shooting Sport Federation.
