China beat Australia 3-0 in the Fourth Asian Cup men's volleyball tournament which kicked off in the South Kazakhstan city of Almaty on Monday.
Volleyball players from eight countries participate in the tournament. Group A includes teams of Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea and India. In Group B there are teams of China, Iran, Australia and Thailand. The quarter-finals will be held on August 22, semi-finals will be held on August 23 and on August 24 there will be the final.
On the first day of competition the Chinese team had a convincing victory over their Australian rivals with a score of 25-21, 25-22, 25-22. On Tuesday, China will take on Iran.
