Two senior Party officials from north China's Shanxi province have been removed from their posts for suspected serious discipline and law violations, the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee announced Thursday.
They are Chen Chuanping, Party chief of Taiyuan, Shanxi's capital city, and Nie Chunyu, secretary-general of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee.
Both Chen and Nie are members of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said last week they were under investigation for suspected serious discipline and law violations.
