The China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) has stated that mooncakes with red bean fillings from the Beijing-based Holiland bakery are unqualified for sale, reported the Beijing Times.
According to the CFDA's report, the mooncake contained excessive amounts of bacteria, indicating that the mooncake manufacturer has sanitary and storage problems. The CFDA has reported that 97 percent of the mooncakes they have sampled have been qualified.
CFDA urges consumers who find problematic products to call 12331.
