Tajikistan will hold a round-table seminar to discuss its role in the formation and development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Friday, according to a Tajik official announcement.
The seminar will focus on Tajikistan' s activities and contribution to the organization during its SCO presidency from September 2013 to September 2014, said the Center for Strategic Studies under the Tajik president on Thursday.
The participants will also discuss border affairs, economic cooperation within the SCO framework and the prospects of the SCO development, said the center.
The seminar, organized jointly by the center and the Tajik foreign ministry, is to be held on the sidelines of the upcoming summit of SCO heads of state due on Sept. 11-12 in Dushanbe, capital of the country.
