Local procuratorates have concluded their investigation of a former Tianjin Gas head as well as a former Guangdong tax chief, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Friday.
Their cases are being examined for prosecution, according to a statement by the SPP.
Jin Jianping, former chairman of Tianjin Gas Group, was probed for alleged embezzlement and bribe-taking, while Li Yongheng, former head of the Guangdong Provincial Office of the State Administration of Taxation, was investigated for allegedly taking bribes.
Local disciplinary watchdogs announced an investigation into Jin and Li over "severe disciplinary violations" last September and December, respectively.
