A 4.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Zhuolu county, north China's Hebei province at 6:37 pm (Beijing Time) on Saturday, the China Earthquake Network Center said.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The epicenter was monitored at 40.3 degrees north latitude and 115.4 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers, it said.
Tremor was felt in Beijing with the location only about 200 kilometers northwest from the capital.
