A senior official with the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for further efforts in the implementation of the Party's "mass-line" campaign.
Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks on Monday during a Party seminar in Beijing.
Liu praised the results achieved so far, saying it had been effective in finding and rectify work problems through criticism and self-criticism.
He said implementation should proceed through establishing systems and regulations to address people's demands and interests.
Senior officials should act as role models for a clean and upright political environment, he added.
"Mass-line" refers to a guideline under which CPC officials and members are required to prioritize the interest of the people and work on their behalf.
The campaign was launched in June last year to boost ties between CPC officials and the public, while cleaning up undesirable work styles, including formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance.
