The death toll from a gas explosion at a restaurant in southwest China's Xiamen city has risen to five after one more body was found at the scene, local authorities said Friday.
The dead included four male and one female. Sixteen injured people, ten of them in serious condition, were hospitalized. The blast occurred at 11:29 am at a snack bar in Huli District, Xiamen city, Fujian province, said the Xiamen municipal government.
The accident was caused by the explosion of a gas tank in it, according to an initial investigation.
