Xi’s comments on governance detailed in translated book

A book containing Chinese President Xi Jinping's remarks on governance was recently published by the Foreign Language Press in at least nine languages, the authorities have announced.

The book, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, has 18 chapters, comprised of 79 articles highlighting Xi's speeches, answers to questions, conversations and instructions from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014, according to a government press release Sunday.

It also includes 45 photos of Xi.

The book was published in Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Japanese.

It will help improve the world's understanding of China's development, domestic and foreign policies, and response to the concerns of international society, the press release said.

Chinese experts praised Xi's concepts of governance.

Hu Xingdou, a political science professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology, told the Global Times on Sunday that it is likely the book will help China and the rest of the world better understand Xi's policies.
