A body found in the mountains of South China is identified to belong to a man who had allegedly killed four primary school kids in late September, police have said.
The body was discovered on Thursday morning in Luoyang mountain where the suspect surnamed Shi hid after he killed four students in a knife attack on their way to Gupu Primary School in Pingshan Town of Lingshan County on Sept. 26, according to the police of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The police said the DNA test suggests it is Shi's body.
Shi ran away after committing the crime. More than 3,000 police and civilians joined in a manhunt for him. Police offered an award of up to 200,000 yuan (about 32,258 US dollars) for information about the suspect.
The Gupu Primary School also resumed classes on Thursday.
