United Airlines will launch the first direct flight linking Shanghai with the Pacific island of Guam on Oct. 28.
The route, served every Tuesday and Saturday, will take just over four hours, with the outbound and inbound flights numbered UA130 and UA131.
Ripe for tourism, Guam is predicted to attract 20,000 Chinese visitors this year.
