In the first three quarters of 2014, the Beijing Food and Drug Administration released a total of 313 reports on products that had been removed from shelves due to poor quality. Bottled water products were removed the most, with candy being the next highest, reported the Legal Mirror.
The major problem with bottled water products was the excessive number of bacteria content, while candy products were removed mostly due to irregular sulfur dioxide contents.
