The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, elected by the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, convenes at least one plenary session every year. The fourth session will be held this year.
The fourth plenary sessions normally last four days, focusing on carrying out the decisions made at the third plenary sessions.
During the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, the Political Bureau will deliver a work report to the CPC Central Committee.

The session will focus on the rule of law, the first time it has been adopted as the major topic of the sessions.
Delegates will discuss pushing forward the task of ruling the country by law and arranging economic work for the latter half of the year.
