On October 17, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs jointly published the development plan for the tourism industry in Beijing's suburbs from 2015 until 2020. According to the report, the scale of tourism industry for short travels to the suburbs will be expanded to Tianjin and Hebei Province, providing Beijingers with more options, reported the Beijing Youth Daily.
Four new travel lines will be developed, which respectively lead to Tianjin, as well as Zhangjiakou, Baoding and Chengde in Hebei Province.
The report also announces that in the next five years, 800 new types of business options will be explored. There will be lower threshold for small enterprises and private folk tourism operators to get loans from banks.
