A man has been sentenced to four years in prison for setting fire to a bus in central China's Hunan Province.
Chen Yongsen, 30, confessed to setting fire to the bus in July in Changsha City, capital of Hunan, at Yuhua District Court in Changsha, on Friday.
Chen arrived in Changsha on July 10 from the eastern city of Hangzhou, but failed to find a job. He then bought three bottles of mosquito-repellent, poured all the liquid into one larger bottle and ignited it on a No.7 bus in Changsha, early in the morning of July 11, sending more than 30 passengers fleeing. Two of them were slightly injured. The bus driver immediately put out the fire with an extinguisher. Police arrested Chen at the scene.
The court said Chen's act endangered public security but did not have serious consequences and thus gave him a light sentence.
