China and Tajikistan on Monday launched a joint campaign against transnational drug crime.
A joint action headquarters has been set up at the Public Security Bureau of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which neighbors Tajikistan.
The campaign will last until through Nov. 21, targeting airports and land ports.
The two countries will build information sharing and coordination mechanisms and focus on key cases involving both drug makers and dealers.
China and Tajikistan are both members of the the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a six-member inter-governmental organization founded in Shanghai in 2001.
