Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Liu Yunshan met with Secretary General of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) Say Chhum in Beijing on Monday.
Chhum, also the First Vice-President of the Cambodian Senate, led a delegation of members from the CPP.
Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Cambodia are good neighbors and good brothers, and that the Chinese will work together with Cambodia to advance practical cooperation in a comprehensive and in-depth way as agreed by leaders of the two countries.
The CPC stands ready to enhance exchanges of experience on governance and boost cooperation on personnel training with the Cambodian party to inject new driving forces into the bilateral relationship, Liu said.
During the meeting, Liu also briefed the guests on the fourth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee which concluded last week, discussing the session's focus on comprehensively advancing the rule of law in China.
Hailing the traditional friendship between Cambodia and China, Say Chhum said the CPP hopes to learn from the Chinese party's good experience on governance with a view to further development of the southeast Asian country.
