The main media organizations in Hong Kong have continued publishing articles, criticizing the protests for their impact on Hong Kong's society and residents' daily life, as well as for their violation of the law.
In an editorial issued on Saturday, the Wen Wei Po newspaper said what the protesters have done, including blocking traffic, breaching a court injunction and clashing with the police, has severely dented the spirit of law and left incalculable harm on Hong Kong residents. It accused the illegal "Occupy Central" movement of being backed with vast supplies and funds, and planned by foreign forces, who intend to trigger a political crisis.
Meanwhile, the Ta Kung Pao newspaper pointed out it is correct and necessary to investigate the protests' plotter and source of the funds.
