US President Barack Obama will pay a state visit to China and attend the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Beijing from Nov 10 to 12, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced Monday. [Special coverage]
Obama is visiting at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, said Qin in a press release.
Qin said the leaders of the two countries will exchange views on Sino-US relations as well as major international and regional issues of common concern.
With the theme of "Shaping the Future through Asia-Pacific Partnership", a series of APEC meetings will be held from Nov 5 to 11 in Beijing.
Xi will chair the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. On the sidelines of the meeting, Xi will meet with leaders of other APEC members.
