Guangdong earns first victory in CBA

Guangdong Hongyuan downed Jilin 135-111 to take its first victory in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday.

Guangdong, which lost its season opener to Beijing on Saturday, led 33-23 going into the second quarter and kept a 7-point edge at halftime.

The visitors were unstoppable at the second half, wrapping up the game with a 24-point margin.

Jilin will take on Bayi in the third round while Guangdong plays against Shandong.
