China Communications Construction Company Ltd, principally engaged in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Atkins Group on Wednesday in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province.
The company will cooperate with Atkins, a United Kingdom-based enterprise with experience in urban and regional planning, global infrastructure development, planning and design to jointly develop an exchange and cooperation platform of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
"The agreement is part of our efforts to support the strategic plan of developing a modern Maritime Silk Road," said Zhen Shaohua, deputy general manger of China Communications Construction Company.
According to Zhen, the company currently has construction and investment projects in more than 100 countries and regions, many of which are situated along the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
