The Chinese government has donated materials and financial aid totaling 1.6 million US dollars to assist Nigeria's campaign to prevent the deadly Ebola Virus disease, which the country has defeated.
These materials, presented Monday by China's Ambassador to Nigeria Gu Xiaojie to Nigeria's Minister of State for Health Khaliru Alhassan and some other officials of the Ministry of Health, included body scanners, thermometers and personal protective gears.
Alhassan thanked the Chinese government for its contributions and support in the battle against Ebola in West Africa and expressed the belief that the Nigerian and Chinese governments would continue to have good cooperation.
