Two senior officials in east China's Anhui Province and the southwestern province of Sichuan are under investigation for discipline and law violations, said local discipline inspection authorities on Friday.
Cao Yong, Communist Party chief for the Commerce Department of Anhui Province, is under investigation for serious discipline violation, said the Anhui provincial discipline inspection commission of the Communist Party of China.
Jiang Wenkang, deputy head of the Agricultural Department of Sichuan Province, was also being investigated for serious discipline and law violations, said the Sichuan provincial discipline watchdog.
The Chinese leadership is pushing an intensive anti-corruption campaign, targeting both high-ranking "tigers" and low-level "flies."
Liang Bin, head of the Organization Department of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the CPC , has been placed under investigation for "serious discipline and law violations," said authorities Thursday.
