The new US envoy for policy toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will visit the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan and China, the US State Department said Tuesday.
Sung Kim, who assumed his current post last month, is scheduled to meet with his counterparts and other government officials of the three countries, the agency said in a statement.
It said Sydney Seiler, US special envoy for six-party talks, and Allison Hooker, director for Korea at the White House National Security Council, will accompany Sung on his upcoming trip that starts on Wednesday.
