China's first museum honoring Chinese who moved overseas opened in Dongcheng district, the Beijing Youth Daily reported. The Overseas Chinese History Museum houses more than 10,000 collections, including everyday objects Chinese people used when living abroad and exhibits on Chinese contributions overseas.
One of their most prized pieces on display is a 4-meter-long scroll featuring information used for passing immigration exams that was compiled by Chinese people who successfully immigrated to North America at the turn of the 20th century.
