A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the sea area off New Taipei City of Taiwan at 5:03 a.m. Thursday, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
The epicenter was monitored at 25.6 degrees north latitude and 122.4 degrees east longitude. The quake hit at a depth of 260 kilometers, according to the center.
