A collection of exhibits that showcase the history of trade and communication between China and Tanzania by way of the Maritime Silk Road in ancient times have been brought together in Dar es Salaam.
They include 42 pieces of exhibits from China along with 24 items unearthed in Tanzania.
From porcelain and pottery, to bronze wares and silk products, these pieces are quite varied, yet still come together to present the Maritime Silk Road long history, as well as the friendship between the two countries. The exhibition has drawn in hundreds of visitors. Locals say they are glad to learn so much about the history between the two countries, and they hope that one day exhibitions about Tanzania's history can also be held in China.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition also features a Kungfu show, and will run through the middle of January.
