One killed in pedestrian overpass collapse in central China

One person was killed in a pedestrian overpass collapse Wednesday night in downtown Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province.

An SUV and a truck were damaged. The truck driver died at the scene and two people escaped from the SUV, according to witnesses.

The overpass is on Wanjiali Road. Traffic is disrupted.

Further rescue is underway.
