A former Palace Museum employee was sentenced to death for the fatal stabbing of two colleagues, the Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court said on Friday.
According to prosecutors, Zheng Zhibiao killed the two former directors of the exhibition department of the Palace Museum, Hu and Ma on Oct. 25, 2013, because of conflict at work. He stabbed them several times in a cafeteria and a toilet of the museum.
Zheng was found guilty of of murder and sentenced to death. He was also required to pay the families of the two victims more than 30,000 yuan (about 4,823 U.S. dollars) each.
