Chinese legislature started Monday to revise a major air pollution control law, intending to add a new chapter tackling smog and introducing harsher punishment for offenders.
A draft amendment to the air pollution prevention and control law, with eight chapters and 100 clauses, compared with seven chapters and 66 clauses in the existing law, was submitted to the top legislature for a first reading.
