Niujie sets up mobile library

Residents near Niujie can now enjoy free access to more than 3,000 e-books by scanning the QR code on a new lending library machine at the street's center, according to the Beijing Daily. To borrow an e-book, readers simply need to register an account with their community service center using their mobile phone or tablet.

Content of the e-books spans 11 categories, including the classics, history, fiction, and military. More than 500 e-books have been downloaded to date. Residences can also enjoy access to 1,000 courses, newspapers and academic resources stored in the machine.
