News that another airliner was missing on Sunday stirred up sad memories for 23-year-old Bai Jie. [Special coverage]
"It reminded me of the day I came to Beijing Capital International Airport to pickup my mother, "said Bai, whose mother, Hou Aiqin, was on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which vanished on March 8 during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
After the disappearance of the flight carrying 239 passengers, including154Chinese, "we setup a WeChat group to talk and wait for any news about the missing air-craft," said Bai.
Heated discussions in the group, which includes relatives of passengers on Flight MH370, have begun again after AirAsia Flight QZ8501, with 155 passengers and seven crew members, was reported missing.
"I hope all passengers on the Air-Aisa flight will be found alive, and we will keep our eyes on news about it," she said. "It is like those days when I didn't want to miss any messages about Flight MH370 and looked forward to seeing my mother comeback to a Beijing hotel."
"Good news or bad, what I need is a result. I don't want the endless waiting," she added.
Bai's father, Bai Shuanfu, 47, said he has become sensitive to news about aviation after Flight MH370.
"I still hope my wife will return home. The things that she used before at home, such as makeup and quilts, are still there," he said with heavy sobs.
Ju Kun, 33, who had worked in the movie industry for 15 years, was also a passenger on MH370.
Cheng Liping, who had two children with Ju, reacted differently and didn't want to hear more news about the AirAsia flight.
She took the two children outside to play.
"I saw some relatives having a heated discussion in the WeChat group, but I avoidedit. What I want is for my husband to return home, bringing us the truth," she added.
