Smog will continue to shroud parts of north China on Monday, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) has forecast.
Chinese legislature revising law to tackle smog
The NMC forecast that medium to heavy smog will blanket the eastern and southern parts of north China and the central and eastern parts of Huanghuai and Jianghuai starting Monday morning.
A cold front will sweep these areas from west to east starting Tuesday night and it is expected to disperse the smog, according to the NMC.
As cold air moves southwards, Inner Mongolia and parts of north China, Huanghuai and Jianghuai will experience temperature drops of up to 10 degrees with heavy winds.
Currently, people with respiratory issues are advised to stay indoors or wear protective masks, said the NMC.
