Royal Malaysian Navy Chief Abdul Aziz Jaafar said on Friday that on his tweet account that the search sector for AirAsia flight QZ8501 has been moved 30 nautical miles to the east.
He said the "most probable area" was established with a dimension of 1,575 sq nautical miles.
"This is the most likely the area of the missing plane," he added while tweeting an image mapping out the search area.
Abdul Aziz said three ships were tasked to search in the "most probable area," which would operate Underwater Marine Detection System to search the wreck.
He said the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency has assigned the diving teams to carry out diving and underwater search.
