Former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian granted medical parole   

陈水扁获准保外就医1个月

已入狱六年多的台湾当局前领导人陈水扁，5日获准保外就医，为期一个月。据报道，台湾法务部门5日举行记者会表示，法务部门“矫正署”十人审查小组5日上午9时开会审议陈水扁保外就医案，核准陈水扁保外就医一个月，届期再做评估。 [查看全文]

Former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian has been granted one-month medical parole after serving more than six years in prison for corruption, the Taiwan authority announced on Monday.

Chen is due to be released from Taichung Prison Monday afternoon. Once his condition is stabilized he will return and continue his sentence.
