Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay official visits to Kenya, Sudan, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) from Jan. 10 to 17.
Wang was invited by Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, Sudan's Foreign Minister Ali Karti, Cameroon's External Relations Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, Equatorial Guinea's Foreign Minister Agapito Mba Mokuy and DR Congo's Foreign Minister Raymond Tshibanda.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei told a routine press briefing that the visits will implement the results of President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang's Africa visits in 2013 and 2014.
Chinese foreign ministers have made Africa the first port of call every year since 1991.
