Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will attend the 45th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and pay a working visit to Switzerland from Jan. 20 to 22, a Foreign Ministry spokesman announced on Tuesday.
Li is visiting at the invitation of WEF founder and chairman Klaus Schwab and the Federal Council of Switzerland, said spokesman Hong Lei at a routine press briefing.
During the meeting, Li will deliver a key-note speech and meet representatives of the International Business Council, said Hong. Li will also meet individually with Schwab.
During his visit to Switzerland, Li will have talks with President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga when the two leaders will open celebrations to mark the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two.
The WEF annual meeting, which will take place on Jan. 21-24 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, is to convene under the theme "The New Global Context".
