One man has died in a series of crashes involving a few vehicles on Chang 'An Avenue in downtown Beijing on Wednesday.
The pileup started with an Audi sedan hitting a motorcycle, at around 8 a.m on Wednesday morning. The rider of the electric bike was killed at the scene, and several others were seriously injured in the crashes.
The accident caused a traffic jam on Chang'an Avenue, and the normal traffic flow was not restored until clearance work was completed at 9:40 am.
