A blaze ripped through a chemical plant in east China's Jiangxi Province Saturday evening, local authorities said.
No casualties have been reported after the fire broke out at about 7:30 p.m. at an organosilicon factory in Yongxiu County, according to the county's publicity department.
Workers have been evacuated soon after the fire, which rescuers feared might cause explosions.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
