Malaysian Deputy Transport Minister Aziz Kaprawi said Wednesday that the interim report on the investigation on the MH370 incident will be released on March 7.
He said that Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai will release the report, which will then be uploaded onto the website of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).
When asked about whether the government would be finalizing the status of the aircraft after releasing the interim report, he said that it would be announced if the government does so. "The compensation for the next of kin of the passengers and crew will also be announced after the status of the aircraft has been announced,"he added.
Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 with 239 people on board, disappeared shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8 en-route to Beijing.
